4Teen24 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the social and emotional well-being of today's teens and young adults. Founded in 2018, 4Teen24 has remained committed to spreading awareness on a wide range of topics through the creation and promotion of accessible, reliable resources. Our mission is to shine a light on the complexities of mental health, breaking down the barriers of stigma and misinformation that often surround this topic. We believe in the power of knowledge, compassion, and community to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges.
By the age of 14, half of all mental illnesses that will occur in a person's lifetime have already manifested, with this toll rising to 75% by age 24. This startling reality inspired our name, 4Teen24, symbolizing the critical age range of 14 to 24. It is within these years that young people are at the highest risk of developing mental health issues, yet, tragically, many will go years without receiving the correct diagnosis or care. These statistics, though disheartening, underscore the vital importance of our mission, particularly in today's world.
We appreciate the support we have received over the past few years. We look forward to growing our presence, resource library, and our reach amongst various communities in the future and appreciate your continued support!
Thank you!

My name is Jenna Hansen and I am the Founder and Executive Director of 4Teen24. I started 4Teen24 in June of 2018 after witnessing the ongoing impact mental illness was having on students in my community. The goal of 4Teen24 is to have a continuously developing, central online location where people can easily access resources, information, and more to support a diverse range of mental health needs for themselves and others. Creating and running 4Teen24 has been an incredible way for me to learn more about mental health in general, but has also shown me just how much of a need there is for more awareness and accessibility to mental health resources and care. I am now a student at the University of Kansas studying behavioral neuroscience, where I am getting to further my journey into the world of promoting change and finding answers for improving mental health in our community and throughout the world.
Mental health has always been an interest and passion of mine and I am honored to have been able to pursue this through the creation of 4Teen24. I greatly appreciate everyone who has been there to help me create and improve this nonprofit and I hope that you will find this website to be comprehensive and helpful. Thank you for your support over the past few years, I could not have done it alone!
